What This Site Is

Find A Plumber Auckland is an information and directory service. We list plumbers, gasfitters and drainlayers serving Auckland, publish price guides, and pass quote requests to listed tradespeople. We do not perform plumbing, gasfitting or drainlaying work. Every business listed operates independently — any contract for work is between you and that business, not with us.

Licence Checks

Listings are checked against the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board (PGDB) public register at the time of listing. Licences can lapse or be suspended after that. Before hiring, you should verify the tradesperson's current status yourself on the PGDB register — it's free and takes under a minute. We don't guarantee the quality, availability, or conduct of any listed business.

Price Guides Are Indicative

The price ranges published on this site (including the cost guide and cost calculator) are indicative Auckland market ranges, not quotes. Actual pricing depends on the job, access, materials and the plumber's own rates. Always get a written line-item quote before work starts.

Featured Listings

Some listings are paid "Featured" placements. These are always clearly badged as such. Paid placement affects position and visibility only — the licence-check vetting is identical for free and paid listings.

Quote Requests

When you submit a quote request, you authorise us to pass your details to the relevant listed plumber(s) so they can contact you about the job. How we handle your information is covered by our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

The content of this website — text, price guides, tools and design — belongs to Find A Plumber Auckland. You may not reproduce or republish it without written permission. Business names and details belong to their respective owners.

External Links

The site links to third-party websites, including listed businesses' own sites. We're not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law (including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where it applies), Find A Plumber Auckland is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Website, reliance on information published on it, or work performed by any listed business. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under New Zealand consumer law that cannot be excluded.

Complaints and Delisting

If you have a bad experience with a listed business — or evidence that a listing is inaccurate or unlicensed — email hello@findaplumberauckland.co.nz with the details. We review every complaint. Businesses that lose their PGDB licence, repeatedly generate substantiated complaints, or misrepresent their services are removed from the directory. Businesses can also request removal of their own listing at any time via the same address.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, will always be published on this page. Continued use of the Website after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
