Find A Plumber Auckland ("we," "our," or "us") operates the website findaplumberauckland.co.nz. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We handle personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Information We Collect

Quote requests (contact form): when you ask us to connect you with a plumber, we collect your name, email address, phone number, suburb, the service you need, and your message describing the job.

Anonymous analytics: we record anonymous click events (for example, when a listing's phone number or website link is clicked) and the page they happened on, so we can see which listings and pages are actually useful. We do not use tracking cookies beyond what is needed for session-level analytics, and we do not build advertising profiles.

How We Use Your Information

• To route your quote request to the relevant licence-checked plumber(s) for your suburb and service
• To follow up on your request if a plumber can't be matched
• To improve the directory — which suburbs, services and listings people actually use

We do not send marketing email lists, and we do not sell personal information. Ever.

Who We Share It With

Your quote request details (name, contact details, suburb, service, message) are passed to the relevant plumber(s) only — the ones matched to your job. They receive it for the sole purpose of quoting and carrying out your work. We also use third-party services to operate the site (form processing and database hosting); those providers process data on our behalf and under their own privacy policies.

Retention

We keep quote-request details for as long as needed to manage the request and a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping, then delete them. Anonymous analytics data contains no personal information and may be kept longer in aggregate form.

Your Rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct it if it's wrong
• Ask us to delete it
• Ask us to stop passing your details to plumbers

To exercise any of these, email hello@findaplumberauckland.co.nz. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No internet transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security — but we collect the minimum we need, which limits what could ever be exposed.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
